For a busy telecommunications company, the server backup and recovery process was a tedious undertaking for network
administrators tasked with ensuring the company with uninterrupted and convenient access to network data.

Dynamix Group implemented the IBM System i520 with the integrated IBM BladeCenter to create layers of data redundancy
needed to improve data management and ensure data backup reliability. Additionally, the IBM BladeCenter was a cost
effective solution because it reduced the manpower needed to manage the system. The BladeCenter also left a port vacant
on the KVM switch, freeing valuable data space. The new BladeCenter not only solved the issues surrounding data backup
and recovery, but it also increased overall server efficiency.

CLIENT NEED:
A Florida resort was looking to consolidate its servers and needed a self contained unit with portability. Something they could
literally unplug and roll out in case of a disaster.

With the implementation of a BladeCenter, the resort has the ability to take its system off-site quickly and can be up and
running from another location in a matter of minutes. From 22 servers to 9, the resort also saw an immediate reduction in
monthly maintenance costs. Instead of purchasing stand-alone servers, each with its own internal storage, the BladeCenter
system's built-in iSCSI capabilities allows each diskless blade to store its data on the System i platform. A leading edge
