Critical business applications are continually available even with unplanned downtime.
Saved time, money and manpower for a time-critical freight company.
CLIENT NEED:
When your business is time-critical and your customers expect no less, downtime is unacceptable. The infrastructure
consolidation and application modernization project needed to be well planned and carefully implemented so the freight
company could be prepared for every possible scenario.
DYNAMIX GROUP SOLUTION:
A major driver for the company was cost but equally as important was guaranteeing next to no downtime. Dynamix Group
recommended moving everything from the freight company’s IBM System i820 and i825 to a single System i550 and at the
same time putting a partition on the i550 to run high availability (HA). If there is a disaster the freight company can literally
unhook the HA from the server rack, and move it to their off-site location requiring no further system equipment except for a
cart and another rack. The end users don’t even notice a difference and the down-time is next to nothing. Dynamix Group
took this complex scenario and created a simple solution that saves time, money and manpower for one of America’s
leading freight companies.

system that they developed to eliminate confusion and reduce the labor associated with effective management of contracts.
Simplifying the tedious process was not the only benefit to the new system. Dynamix Group’s unique solution organized the
contract information in a spreadsheet that allows data to be searched and integrated. Now the client can quickly compile
information with regard to software and equipment costs for budgetary purposes.
Reduction of unnecessary delays for airlines and travelers.
When your data center is required to process 300 incoming messages and return 900 outgoing messages in one second, fast isn't fast enough. Through infrastructure simplification, Dynamix Group configured a system that is 5x the speed and reduced overhead by 50%.
CLIENT NEED:
When an airline sends the passenger manifest to the receiving country, the receipt of this message ensures the arrival of the aircraft. Because of the heightened level of security in air travel, the speed and accuracy of the messaging process is critical to our client. With two data centers housing different sets of data, our client needed a streamlined data center and a high availability solution to guarantee messaging success for its clients.
DYNAMIX GROUP SOLUTION:
Simplifying two data centers separated by oceans and a completely different set of data, Dynamix Group created two data centers in the same city that mirror each other. The two new centers are connected by fiber optic cables. This enables the new pSeries boxes to communicate at record speed.
Another outstanding result of Dynamix Group's infrastructure simplification project for this client was that the entire cost of the project was covered by what the client paid in yearly maintenance fees.

From testing the hardware to assessing each plant's conversion down time, Dynamix Group provided its client with much more than just a hardware solution.
