ROSWELL, Ga. - April 4, 2008 - Dynamix Group, Inc. has been named winner of the award for "Innovative IBM Business Systems Solution" in the annual IBM Beacon Awards competition, honoring IBM Business Partners for their ingenuity, innovation, customer satisfaction and outstanding achievements in providing business solutions.
Dynamix Group, an information technology implementation company, analyzed the needs of local Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) and created a highly targeted business systems solution to meet the most pressing needs.

Based on its analysis, Dynamix Group designed a solution using the IBM System i and WebSphere that helps help a southern US State’s K-12 school districts and healthcare companies modernize their aging “green-screen” legacy applications.
After teaming with another IBM Business Partner to develop and implement an education solution and securing satisfied customer reference accounts, Dynamix Group duplicated its strategy for the healthcare market. Working with another IBM Business Partner, Dynamix Group created a System i and WebSphere solution for an operator of acute care hospitals. The solution provides a graphical front end to the company’s legacy case management application, which was costing the company an estimated $1M a month in data entry errors. The company achieved ROI in the first month, and expects to save $1M month going forward. In addition, the solution has substantially improved the functionality and ease of use of their legacy application and reduced inaccurate reporting of patient diagnostic information, which slows down insurance payments to the hospitals.
Judges remarked that, “Dynamix Group’s solution is easily replicated and reflects a well-structured approach to the market that solves an acute problem. The use of multiple technologies, IBM Global Finance and collaboration with other IBM Business Partners lets Dynamix clients benefit from the entire IBM ecosystem.”
